Canon EOS 650D
The Canon EOS 650D DSLR has been reviewed at ePHOTOzine as an in-depth 650D review, as well as a 650D user review, the Canon EOS 650D is the latest “entry” to “mid-level” Digital SLR from Canon, and features Full HD video, a swivelling touch screen, hybrid AF designed for better video AF and an 18megapixel sensor. The Canon EOS 650D is available for £613 with kit lens from Amazon UK, and while the auto focus (AF) during videos isn’t as good as it should be, at least it’s a start, perhaps they’ll make it much better on the new model, which no doubt will be called the Canon EOS 700D.

More reviews can be found at: TechDigit (3.5 out of 5 – warning fly close up), Gizmodo AU (says video AF is poor), Photography BLOG (mostly positive), Pocket-Lint (a few blips).

Canon EOS 600D DSLR
ePHOTOzine has reviewed the new Canon EOS 600D Digital SLR – it features an 18-megapixel CMOS sensor, Scene Intelligent Auto mode, Full-HD EOS Movie, On-screen Feature Guide, 3.7fps continuous shooting, Wide-area 9-point AF, 1,040k-dot vari-angle 7.7cm (3.0”) screen, Basic+ and Creative Filters, Built-in wireless flash control and is available for £739 with IS kit lens.

“Feels good, looks good, takes stunning photos. What more could you want? Sure it would be nice if there was more warning about the battery giving up, and it would be nice if the continuous shooting mode was a little quicker, but these are minor niggles compared to a camera that delivers an excellent all round package, and offers good value for money as well.”

Canon EOS 1100D DSLR
ePHOTOzine has reviewed the new Canon EOS 1100D, it features: Superior 12-megapixel image quality, On-screen Feature Guide, Creative Auto and Basic+, HD video capture, ISO 100-6400 sensitivity, Wide-area 9-point AF system, 63-zone iFCL exposure metering, 6.8cm (2.7”), 230,000-dot screen, Use with all EF and EF-S lenses. It is available with kit lens for £430

“The Canon EOS 1100D delivers great image quality, with excellent noise levels, right upto ISO3200. It’s not until ISO6400 that you start seeing noise artefacts, or hot black and white pixels. The colour produced in images is excellent with very rich colours, high levels of saturation and good contrast, sharpness, and tone. The options can be altered, although the default settings are good enough that you shouldn’t need to alter this.”
