VTech Toy Story 3 Buzz Lightyear Digital Camera
Amazon UK are selling the new VTech Toy Story 3 Buzz Lightyear Digital Camera for £39 (with case, or less without) – it’s a 2 megapixel digital camera made for kids, and features a 2x digital zoom, TV and PC connection, ultra tough casing, built in xenon flash, stores up to 500 photos on the camera with 256 MB of storage, and has SD card slot for memory expansion. It takes 4 x AA batteries (batteries not included), has a 1.8-inch TFT colour LCD screen, and can record up to 8 minutes of video (at 320×240, 15fps with mono sound). There’s also a “VTech Disney Princess Camera” version available in pink.

Canon IXUS 95 IS Pink
Available in Silver, Pink, Blue, and Grey, the Canon Digital IXUS 95 IS (aka SD1200 IS) is a compact camera that features a 10 megapixel sensor, 3x optical zoom lens, 2.5″ screen, and optical image stabilisation. It’s also one of the smallest cameras available with an optical viewfinder – although due to it’s compact size it’s usefulness may be limited. Announced on the 18th February 2009 the camera is now available for considerably less than the original price, and is often found on special offer.

Canon intro: “Uncompromising style and great value are fused in the Digital IXUS 95 IS. Ease of use is assured by Smart Auto mode, which uses Scene Detection to intelligently optimise settings for better pictures. Panasonic GH2 with 3D Lens
Yesterday saw the beginning of Photokina 2010, the largest photographic show in the world, hosted in Cologne, Germany. Whilst most new cameras have been announced over the last few weeks, there were still a number of new cameras announced at the show which we were able to have a look at, including the new Panasonic Lumix GH2 Digital SLR (shown above with 3D lens), Pentax K-5, Pentax K-r, plus more, we were a little trigger happy, and have taken over 300 photos for you to look at! Olympus FE-5040 Orange

Olympus has announced three new compact budget digital cameras, all features wide angle lenses: Olympus FE-5040, shown above, features a wide-angle 5x optical zoom lens (26 – 130mm), 12 megapixel sensor, iAuto mode (intelligent auto automatically chooses the scene mode for you), 2.7″ screen, AF tracking, magic filters (Pop Art, Pin Hole, Fisheye, Drawing, Soft Focus, Punk), 13 scene modes, USB battery charging, slim (20.1mm) metal body, ISO100-1600, VGA 30fps video with sound, SD/SDHC support, and will be available in orange, silver, black and “raspberry red”.

Olympus fe-5050

The Olympus FE-5050, shown above, is the highest specification of the three, with a wide-angle 5x optical zoom lens (26-130mm), 14 megapixel sensor, iAuto mode, 2.7″ screen, AF-tracking, magic filters, 14 scene modes, USB battery charging, slim (18.8mm) metal body, ISO64-1600, VGA 30fps video, SD/SDHC support, and will be available in silver, black, “Champagne Gold” and lighter pink.

Canon Powershot SD4500 IS IXUS 1000 HS
Canon has announced the new Canon Powershot SD4500 IS / Digital IXUS 1000 HS – a compact camera with a 10x optical zoom lens (36-360mm), optical image stabilisation, 3″ screen, 10 megapixel back illuminated sensor, full HD video recording (1920×1080), as well as a 240fps video mode, 8.8fps shooting (at 2.5mp), 1cm macro, ISO3200, the metal bodied camera will be available in silver, brown and pink.

Nikon Coolpix S5100
Nikon has announced the new Nikon Coolpix S5100, it features a 12 megapixel sensor, wide angle 5x optical zoom lens with image stabilisation, 2.7″ screen, 720p video recording, 200 shot battery life and it’s available in Black, Pink, Purple, and Blue.

“5x Wide-Angle Optical Zoom-NIKKOR Glass Lens. Versatile 28-140mm lens ranges wide to capture landscapes, zooms in to get close to the action. In the NIKKOR tradition of precision optics, the high-quality glass lens delivers superb color and razor-sharp results.”

Casio Exilim S200

Casio has announced the new Casio Exilim S200, and Z800, both compact 14 megapixel cameras, with a wide angle 27mm 4x optical zoom lens 2.7″ screen, lithium-ion batteries, 720p 20fps video, and anti-shake CCD sensor, with both available at the beginning of September 2010. The S200 shown above comes in black, silver, orange, blue and pink.

“The EXILIM Card EX-S200 is a slim, high-quality, card-sized camera that is just 17.8 mm thick and only 14.9 mm at its thinnest part, while the EXILIM Zoom EX-Z800 is compact enough to fit in the palm of the hand. Both cameras sport a 4X optical zoom lens that starts at a 27 mm wide-angle view (35 mm film camera equivalent) and is capable of taking images with an effective resolution of 14.1 megapixels, while packing numerous other camera features such as Casio’s CCD-shift image stabilization mechanism in a slim, compact and stylish body.”

Casio Exilim Z800

The Casio Exilim Z800 specs are the same, although it comes in magenta (above), pink, blue, yellow, black and silver, and has a slightly larger body, and no focus assist lamp.

Amazon UK are selling the 12 megapixel Casio Exilim Z330 in pink or black for only £94 – it features a 3x optical zoom lens, 2.7″ screen, and compact body.

You might also want to have a look at the Panasonic Lumix FS7 which is available for £115 (also available in Pink!). Also worth mentioning is the appearance of the Nikon D3000 with VR kit lens appearing in the bestsellers list at number 10 – priced at £335.
