The camera also features a high ISO video mode. The camera is due in April:

Sanyo E6 Back“For those of you who would like to capture video instead of still images can activate the Movie mode. The Santo S60 will capture video in a resolution of 640 x 480 (VGA) pixels at speed of 30 frames per second. Due to the high sensitivity settings in the video mode (Auto: 200 – 800, manual: ISO 200/400/800/1600) the smallest details will be visible in the most difficult lighting conditions.”

Sanyo E6LetsGoDigital have reviewed the new Sanyo Xacti E6 – a unique looking 6 megapixel digital camera with a 3x optical zoom lens and a 3″ screen:

“The Sanyo Xacti E6 is a marvellously designed digital camera with nicely rounded off corners. The housing feels solid and shows its quality. The designers of the Xacti E6 have applied various new techniques like the new size 3-inch format LCD monitor with improved G.U.I. (Graphics User Interface) structure and the so-called Touch sensor. The compact size of the camera requires a small memory card such as the Secure Digital (SD) memory card. This card has to be inserted at the bottom of the camera which holds the compartment that also contains the battery. Sanyo has gained a lot of experience on the field of video functions and speed improvements concerning focus and release button. Sanyo shows its best behaviour again with the Xacti E6, on the video area (MPEG4) as well as on the speed area by integrating the Touch sensor.”

AkihabaraNews have reviewed the Sanyo Xacti C6 – a 6 megapixel digital camera / camcorder, with a 5x optical zoom lens:

“The Xacti C6, a hybrid digital video/photo camera, has come on stage to replace the C1, C4 and C5! Sanyo has really reaped the benefits of the first Xacti, and despite the fact that they were not the first on the market with such a device (that honour goes to Panasonic’s D-Snap), the company is proud to announce that they are the market leader in this domain, way ahead of Sony’s DSC-M1 and its successor the M2.”

Sanyo EneloopGizmodo have details of new rechargable batteries from Sanyo – the batteries come pre-charged meaning you can use them as soon as you buy them, whereas with normal rechargable batteries you have to charge them yourself prior to use:

“Sanyo has developed a line of rechargeable NiMH batteries that can be sold to users all charged up and ready to go. Most NiMH rechargeables have to be charged before they can be used, but not with these new Sanyo Eneloop batteries. This can be done because the batteries have particularly slow energy loss; they’ll lose only about 15% of their charge after a year of non-use, while other rechargables would have been drained by then — even regular alkalines might not last that long. This sounds like a great solution to all those who want to use fewer alkaline batteries, but still want the convenience of not having to recharge batteries all the time.”
