Panasonic Lumix TZ9
The DSGi group (Currys, Dixons, PCWorld in the UK) are selling the Panasonic Lumix TZ9, a version of the TZ8 and TZ10 (the TZ9 sits somewhere in the middle), features a wide-angle 12x optical zoom lens (25-300mm), 3″ screen, video recording with stereo sound, and is available for £219, while the Panasonic Lumix TZ10 (with GPS) is available for £223, and the Panasonic Lumix TZ8 (With smaller 2.7″ screen, and mono audio) is available for £169

Panasonic TZ8

Panasonic has announced the new Panasonic Lumix TZ8 / ZS5 – an update to the TZ6 – it features a metal body available in a number of colours (silver and black), and has a 25mm 12x optical zoom lens (25 – 300mm), 12 megapixel sensor, 2.7″ screen, aperture priority, 720p video, and optical image stabilisation. The TZ8 is available for £199:

A lens like this, with a range from 25mm to 300mm (1), is almost inconceivable in such a small, lightweight camera.
